Chef, Owner, & “Chopped” Champion Claude Lewis of Freetown Road Project

About Chef Lewis:

Born and raised in jersey city to immigrant parents, I have been exposed to many different cultures, but none that inspired me as much as west Indian food.  I attended ps# 25 school in jersey city heights, then St Anthony’s high school to play basketball, my remaining 3 years I went to Hudson Catholic hs. Throughout my career, I have cooked many cuisines, Irish, Italian, French, and Japanese. Today, I use all of the techniques I have learned to bring a modernized representation of the food I grew up eating, Caribbean.
