Come celebrate with us at Jersey City Hall – Caucus Room to view this year’s Jersey City Parks Coalition’s Plates4Parks: Food & Community Photography winners.  Nature inspired art activity for children.

This year’s Jersey City Parks Coalition Open Call for Artist is inspired by their Plates4Parks 2019 Dinner series.

The Jersey City Parks Coalition Plates4Parks 2019 Dinner series celebrates Jersey City’s dynamic food scene with dinner in one of our beautiful parks. Each dinner will be created by a guest chef, and all proceeds will support the Jersey City Parks Coalition in our mission to empower residents to develop, renovate, use and maintain their community parks and public spaces of Jersey City; thereby revitalizing neighborhoods and lifting communal and human spirits.

Jersey City Parks Coalition Annual Open Call for Artists
Photographers both professional and non-professional.   ** We are also accepting Children Submissions. Please include age & grade.

This Year’s Theme:  “Images Celebrating Plates4Parks “Food & Community” in Jersey City Parks & Open Spaces”

Submit your favorite Jersey City photos which features residents celebrating “Food & Community” in our city’s beautiful public parks and open spaces.

Submission Dates:  Begins Monday, August 12, 2019 and ends Friday, September 13, 2019 at 6:00 PM EST.

All entries are automatically considered for the Jersey City Parks Coalition’s 2019 Photo Contest.

Guidelines: Only photos taken within Jersey City – Hudson County will be considered.  Please identify Jersey City location ie.  Van Vorst Park, Jersey City Reservoir No.3, Leonard Gordon Park, Bayside Park etc.

Categories : Photos should integrate food and/or a dining experience

– People and Nature: Jersey City Residents in action, adventure and enjoying life (festivals, parades, family celebrations, picnics)
– Landscape: with people or animals that convey a sense of place  (community gardens, farmer markets, residential gardens, etc)
– Water: seasonal, above, below or in between (fishing, boating, winter fun etc.,)
– Wildlife: Habitats & Landscapes or in your backyard or around town
– Jersey City and Nature: connecting with nature where we live (gardening, community events, ie JC Clean up events, etc)

Prizes
All winners will be displayed at Jersey City Hall – Caucus Room.

All winners will receive recognition on jcparks.org photo contest site, Facebook and Instagram social channels.

Opening Night Reception – Jersey City Hall – Chambers Room  Friday, Oct 4th from 6PM – 9PM 

Featuring Live Music ~ Children Activities ~ Light Refreshments & hors d’oeuvre

Founded in 2005, the Jersey City Parks Coalition is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that assists in the development and maintenance of Jersey City’s parks and public spaces. The mission of the Jersey City Parks Coalition is to empower residents to develop, renovate, use and maintain their community parks and public spaces of Jersey City; thereby revitalizing neighborhoods and lifting communal and human spirits.
